Don Quichot

Miguel de Cervantes' book on the comic travel adventures of an ancient nobleman who thinks he is a knight errant is one of the first novels written in a modern European language. Don Quixote was first published in 1612. Since the book has been sold for over 400 years, it is impossible to make a good estimate of the number of copies sold. There are an estimated more than 500 million copies sold.
